Emtec Building Services North is strengthening its delivery leadership team as we mobilise new projects and build on a strong, secured pipeline of work across the region. As part of this continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join us in Leeds.

The Role

As Electrical Contracts Manager, you’ll take full ownership of electrical projects from pre-construction through to handover. You'll be leading site teams, developing strong client relationships, and playing an active role in shaping our expanding presence in the North.

About the Company

Emtec Building Services is a leading M&E contractor delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and public sector projects, from early design and pre-construction through to installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the delivery of multiple electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Leading and supporting Project Managers, site teams, and sub-contractors.
  • Ensuring contracts meet health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Monitoring contract budgets, forecasts, programmes, and overall commercial performance.
  • Working closely with commercial teams to manage variations, applications, risks, and opportunities.
  • Reviewing project performance and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Managing resources across contracts to support successful delivery.
  • Providing technical and operational guidance to project teams.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply-chain partners.
  • Identifying opportunities for additional work, repeat business, and regional growth.
  • Supporting the development and performance of the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
