Electrical Craftsperson – Healthcare Estates Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, NR4 7UY

  • Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £33,073 to £35,375 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

Your Responsibilities

You’ll be entrusted with:

  • Performing reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and routine maintenance across a diverse range of electrical systems, plant, and equipment
  • Implementing scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure reliability, compliance, and reduce risk
  • Upholding strict safety protocols, efficiency standards, and technical best practices
  • Identifying faults, escalating issues as necessary, and coordinating support or parts to expedite rectification
  • Adhering to all workplace regulations, Serco policies, and health & safety guidelines
  • Completing work orders and documentation accurately via internal systems

Role Requirements

This role is for motivated individuals with:

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a complex operating environment (e.g., healthcare or public sector)
  • Strong analytical and fault-finding skills, demonstrating technical problem-solving abilities and independence
  • Good communication and customer service, with a service-oriented, professional demeanour, particularly when interacting with staff in high-pressure care settings
  • Health and safety awareness, including a commitment to risk assessment and personal risks
  • A proactive approach—built with an eye on continuous improvement and workplace collaboration
