We are working with an established System Integrator company based in Peterborough, UK. They are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.
Salary: GBP 40,000 – GBP 55,000 + Bonus + Overtime + Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Design of MCC Panels (motor circuits, safety circuits, PLC equipment, layouts)
- Produce I/O configuration and I/O lists, material specifications and bills of material
- Produce cable lists / sizing calculations / electrical test sheets / single line diagrams
- Design cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawings
- Writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements / CDM regulations
- Modifications to hardware and panels on site (24VDC, 230VAC, 415VAC)
- Electrical testing / fault finding on site
Requirements
- Technical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or C&G Level 3, NVQ 3 & requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) or equivalent
- Experience with Amtech, AutoCAD, Excel and EPLAN, or other drawing package
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations / safety requirements
- Knowledge of drives, PLCs, control gear (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens)
- Flexible, self-motivated, works well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working in a team
- Valid driving licence and ready to travel in the UK and worldwide
- Demonstrable experience of electrical design engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
