We are working with an established System Integrator company based in Peterborough, UK. They are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

Salary: GBP 40,000 – GBP 55,000 + Bonus + Overtime + Benefits

Our Client is specialising in the design and supply of customer standard process control systems to the food industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Design of MCC Panels (motor circuits, safety circuits, PLC equipment, layouts)
  • Produce I/O configuration and I/O lists, material specifications and bills of material
  • Produce cable lists / sizing calculations / electrical test sheets / single line diagrams
  • Design cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawings
  • Writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements / CDM regulations
  • Modifications to hardware and panels on site (24VDC, 230VAC, 415VAC)
  • Electrical testing / fault finding on site

Requirements

  • Technical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or C&G Level 3, NVQ 3 & requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) or equivalent
  • Experience with Amtech, AutoCAD, Excel and EPLAN, or other drawing package
  • Knowledge of current electrical regulations / safety requirements
  • Knowledge of drives, PLCs, control gear (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens)
  • Flexible, self-motivated, works well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working in a team
  • Valid driving licence and ready to travel in the UK and worldwide
  • Demonstrable experience of electrical design engineering
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
