As Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical circuitry to support our manufacturing and systems development processes.
The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Lead systems electrical designs.
- Hands-on approach in the implementation of designs.
- Support product development of xenon flashlamp systems.
- Support existing products in the field.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Liaise with sub-contract suppliers.

Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience
- Experience in electrical system design (IEC 60204-1)
- Experience in safety design (ISO 13849-1 & 13849-2)
- Experience in fault-finding.
- Good organisation in revision control / documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
- Experience in commissioning systems (FAT & SAT)
- Experience in high voltage design (IEC 60204-11)
- Experience in E-Plan
- Experience in sizing capacitors.
- Experience in supervision of system builds.
- Experience in developing and trouble-shooting PLC / HMI programs.
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC / HMI programs.
- Proficiency in ladder logic
- Good organisation in coding / commenting.
