Job Details
Our client is an established manufacturer of special purpose machinery and due to their continued success, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Design Engineer.
Salary: 45K – 50K Negotiable + Benefits
The successful candidate will be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with good PLC skills.
Time will be split 70% in office design and 30% working in the field supporting installs, commissioning, etc. etc. UK & Europe.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design and development of new control systems for a wide range of automated machinery and robotics.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and develop new software controls from customer requirements
- Upgrade and modify existing control systems in accordance with specification
- Assist with on-site installations and commissioning
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and field engineers
- PLC & HMI programming
- Undertake project work as and when required
Candidate
The Electrical Design Engineer will have excellent PLC/HMI programming skills with knowledge of either Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron PLC software.
You will have at least two years of experience in a similar role and ideally you will have a good knowledge and understanding of robotic machinery.

You will have a recognized qualification in electrical engineering, e.g., NVQ 3, HND, 18th edition.
Hours Of Work
Monday to Friday 40 hrs
Benefits
