Our client is a well-established manufacturer of innovative equipment for a variety of industry sectors including aerospace, wind, and automotive industry sectors. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design and development of specialist machinery and equipment.

Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities

  • Research and create electrical design concepts, schematics, and drawings
  • Make recommendations regarding design specifications to ensure equipment and processes match client requirements
  • Produce all supporting documentation
  • Provide in-house hands-on support with the build, commissioning, and testing of equipment
  • Support electrical fault-finding and problem-solving during equipment build, testing, and commissioning
  • Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of emerging technologies, processes, and techniques

Electrical Design Engineer Requirements

  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification such as a degree, HNC, HND, or apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience designing electrical systems for industrial machinery, process equipment, or automated equipment
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software
  • Experience working on engineering design projects from concept through to build, testing, and production
  • Understanding of industrial control systems, electrical components, sensors, and instrumentation
  • Ability to read, create, and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings
