The Role
An established building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer looking to build a long-term career in building services, working alongside experienced electrical and mechanical engineers and Revit technicians.

You will work across a range of sectors, supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed, coordinated designs across RIBA Stages 0-5. The work will focus on electrical building services including LV distribution, lighting, small power, fire and security systems.
As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer you will receive training on industry software including Amtech, Relux, Revit and AutoCAD, while gaining hands-on experience within a multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, size and select electrical systems using calculation software
- Produce 2D/3D models, drawings, specifications and reports
- Prepare load calculations and utility connection applications
- Incorporate sustainable technologies into electrical designs
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines
- Work to British Standards and Building Regulations
- Attend client and project meetings
- Support feasibility studies and site surveys

Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, equivalent qualification, or apprenticeship-trained electrician with City and Guilds
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Willingness to learn design software such as Amtech, Relux, Revit and AutoCAD
- Good communication, organisation and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in developing a career as an Electrical Design Engineer
