🚨 Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

πŸ“ London

πŸ’Ό Permanent | Full-time | Hybrid

I’m recruiting for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established and growing Building Services & Low Carbon Engineering Consultancy in central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer looking for greater autonomy, technically challenging projects, and genuine career progression within a collaborative engineering environment.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of projects including:

  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Residential
  • Commercial
  • Industrial
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Public sector
  • Low-carbon/net-zero developments

The role:

  • ⚑ Lead the electrical design on selected projects
  • πŸ“ Produce calculations, specifications, and drawings
  • πŸ— Work across projects from inception through to completion
  • 🀝 Attend senior-level meetings and present directly to clients
  • πŸ‘₯ Support and guide junior engineers on project delivery
  • πŸ’‘ Design HV/LV systems and wider electrical building services
  • 🌱 Support the integration of renewable technologies and embedded generation
  • πŸ“ˆ Help drive technical excellence across the wider engineering team

What I’m looking for:

  • βœ… 5+ years' Electrical Building Services design experience
  • βœ… Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical / Building Services Engineering
  • βœ… Strong understanding of HV/LV systems
  • βœ… Experience delivering projects through multiple design stages
  • βœ… Experience with Amtech, Revit, and Relux/Dialux
  • βœ… Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British/European Standards
  • βœ… CIBSE/IET membership and working towards Chartership advantageous
  • βœ… BREEAM and HTM knowledge beneficial
  • βœ… Understanding of renewable technologies and embedded generation
  • βœ… Confident, client-facing communication skills
