About Us

At JMG, we design and manufacture innovative, bespoke solutions that help customers across the globe operate more efficiently, safely, and sustainably. Every project is different, giving our engineers the opportunity to solve complex challenges and create products that make a real impact.

As we continue our journey towards becoming a more connected and technology-driven manufacturer, we’re investing in our people, products, and engineering capabilities. This is an exciting time to join a growing business where your ideas will be valued, your contribution recognized, and your development supported.

If you’re passionate about engineering, enjoy seeing your designs brought to life, and want to be part of a team that is continually developing innovative solutions, we’d love to hear from you.

Your New Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of both new and existing products, working on projects from initial concept right through to manufacturing, commissioning, and customer installation.

This is more than a desk-based design role. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with customers, collaborate across departments, and see firsthand how your designs perform in the field. From developing electrical control systems and solving technical challenges to supporting product innovation, you’ll be involved at every stage of the engineering journey.

Working within a talented and supportive engineering team, you’ll be encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge the status quo, and play an active role in shaping the future of our engineering function. We value engineers who are curious, proactive, and motivated to find better ways of working for both our customers and our business.

Whether you’re developing a new solution, enhancing an existing product, or helping solve a customer challenge, you’ll gain genuine satisfaction from seeing your work transformed into world-class equipment operating successfully in real-world environments.

At JMG, our purpose is "Creating a Better Way," and we’re looking for people who share our passion for innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. If you’re someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and making a meaningful contribution, you’ll thrive here.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
