Role Description
The Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Swansea. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Developing electrical designs for material handling systems
- Producing detailed schematics and layout drawings
- Specifying components for power distribution and control systems
- Collaborating with mechanical and controls engineers and supporting project managers with technical input
- Ensuring designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
- Assisting with design reviews, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and providing technical documentation and guidance for maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications
- Strong Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering skills
- Design Engineering experience, including creating detailed drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience with EPlan beneficial but not a requirement
- Solid understanding of Electricity principles and power systems, including Power Distribution for industrial environments
- Experience working in manufacturing, automation, or materials handling projects is highly beneficial
- Ability to interpret client requirements, troubleshoot design issues, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Design Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality
