Your new role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions across a varied project portfolio. Working closely with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and clients, you'll produce detailed electrical designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data systems, and other associated building services installations. You'll be involved throughout the project life cycle, from initial concept and feasibility stages through to detailed design, site inspections, and project completion. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects while receiving support and mentorship from experienced engineers.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have experience in electrical building services design and a good understanding of current industry standards and regulations. You'll also require:
- Experience producing electrical building services designs within a consultancy environment
- Proficiency with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, or similar
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant electrical standards
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- A relevant degree or HNC/HND qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Working towards professional accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential.
