Looking to develop your Electrical Design career with a growing manufacturer working across renewable energy and industrial projects?
I am looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing electrical manufacturing business in Chester. Their equipment supplies projects across the UK, including wind farms, solar farms, battery energy storage sites, and industrial facilities.
The Electrical Design Engineer will join a collaborative team of mechanical and electrical engineers, with a supportive culture and opportunities for career progression.

- Produce electrical designs and drawings
- Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Trimble to develop designs
- Prepare bills of materials and support production with technical information
- Liaise with mechanical engineers and production teams to coordinate electrical fitouts
- Support PLC programming requirements where required
- Work alongside the dedicated testing and commissioning department
Requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in an industrial environment
- Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Trimble
- Experience in industrial or commercial electrical installations
- A practical understanding of panel building, wiring, or electrical fitouts
- Experience producing bills of materials and liaising with engineering and production teams
- PLC programming experience (desired)
