Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their growing Cambridge office. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including Science & Research, Healthcare, Commercial, and Education, collaborating with experienced engineers on technically challenging developments that make a real impact.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing experience, gain exposure to complex projects, and progress towards Chartership within a supportive environment.
The Role
You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, assisting in the delivery of electrical building services designs from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Producing electrical designs for power, lighting, and emergency systems.
- Preparing calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinating designs with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Attending design team and client meetings.
- Reviewing contractor information and site installations.
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Working closely with senior engineers to develop your technical expertise.
- Contributing to the delivery of high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions.

About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience within a Building Services consultancy environment.
- Knowledge of electrical building services design principles.
- Familiarity with software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Dialux.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Working towards professional accreditation such as IEng or CEng.
