🔌 We’re Hiring: Electrical Design Engineer
📍 Cambridge – Science Park | 🕒 Full-time (37.5 hrs)
Excelitas UK is a global leader in photonics-based technologies, delivering innovative and energy-efficient solutions under the Noblelight brand. Our systems support industries such as UV disinfection for food & beverage and high-temperature heating for composites.
We’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of xenon flashlamp systems, working across design, development, and support of advanced electrical systems.

🔧 What You’ll Do
- Lead and implement electrical system designs
- Support development of xenon flashlamp systems
- Troubleshoot and support existing products
- Mentor junior engineers
- Work closely with subcontract suppliers
⚡ What You’ll Bring Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- 3+ years’ industry experience
- Electrical system design (IEC 60204-1)
- Safety design (ISO 13849-1 & 13849-2)
- Strong fault-finding and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork

Desirable
- FAT / SAT commissioning
- High-voltage design experience
- EPLAN
- PLC / HMI development (Siemens, ladder logic)
