Base Location: Flexible UK | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots in the South of England and Scotland.
Aberdeen, Glasgow, Perth, Dundee, Inverness, Oban, Poole, New Forest, West London, Slough, Reading, Swindon, Melksham, Andover, Oxford, Portsmouth, Isle of Wight, Basingstoke, Aldershot or Petersfield
You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office
Salary: £57,150 - £68,295 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Quality Engineer to join our Quality team.
This is a varied role at the heart of the Commercial & Connections business, where you'll help drive continuous improvement, champion quality standards and support the delivery of efficient, compliant and customer-focused services.
Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you'll have the opportunity to influence business performance, collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and help shape a culture of quality and excellence.
Experience of Lean Six Sigma methodologies would be advantageous.
You Will
- Identify potential quality, compliance and operational risks, escalating issues where appropriate and ensuring corrective actions are implemented within agreed timescales.
- Conduct quality reviews of Engineering Connections quotations and designs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of accuracy, consistency and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support the continual improvement of engineering processes by identifying opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Ensure quotations produced by the design team are accurate, compliant and fully aligned with relevant standards, policies and regulatory obligations.
- Provide assurance that quality management processes are consistently applied and contribute to maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

You Will Have
- A degree in Engineering, or an HNC supported by significant industry knowledge and experience in quality management or business improvement projects.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. Experience of working with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
- Experience of producing reports and analysing performance data, ideally within a regulated industry. Experience developing, collating and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to analyse performance information and deliver professional presentations to a range of audiences.
