About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced Electrical Designer seeking technical ownership on major infrastructure projects? Join a leading engineering consultancy with a robust, growing project pipeline, ensuring long-term stability and genuine career growth across oil and gas, nuclear, water, and power sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce electrical design deliverables, such as single line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and equipment layouts.
  • Develop supporting documentation, including bills of materials and design packs.
  • Lead designer responsibilities across various projects and proposals.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers.
  • Review and check designs to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver coordinated design solutions.
  • Ensure all designs are safe, practical, and fit for purpose.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Designer in infrastructure or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and legislation.
  • Experience across multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • HNC/HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional accreditation or working towards it is desirable.
