I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineer to join our Energy and Defence client, supporting both new product development and through-life engineering across their specialist product range.
This is a hands-on engineering role involving everything from new design work through to upgrades, modifications, and technical support for existing equipment in the field.
🔧 The role will include:
- Electrical and electronics design
- Producing engineering calculations
- Supporting new product development and existing product upgrades
- Checking electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Component and material selection
- Creating specifications, test procedures, certification, and reports
- Bills of Materials and part number creation
- Working closely with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Engineering teams
- Ensuring designs meet relevant internal, external, and regulatory standards

🔍 What we’re looking for:
- Strong electrical/electronics design experience
- Experience using engineering design/CAD software
- Good knowledge of electrical design standards
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
- Product design experience – particularly DC systems – would be advantageous
- Experience using Product Lifecycle Management systems
- Experience working to marine and defence standards
- Knowledge of classification society requirements, particularly Lloyd’s Register and DNV
