Summary

A rapidly growing renewable energy investment and development business is looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of utility-scale Wind, Solar PV, and BESS projects across the UK.

Working alongside an experienced engineering and delivery team, you'll play a key role in taking projects from development through to construction and commissioning.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to develop their career within a business that funds, develops, owns, and operates renewable energy assets.

The Role

As Electrical Engineer, you'll provide technical support across the delivery of Solar PV, BESS, and Onshore Wind projects.

  • Supporting grid connection applications and managing DNO/TSO interfaces.
  • Reviewing electrical designs and identifying technical and commercial improvements.
  • Coordinating grid connection agreements and electrical studies.
  • Assisting with commissioning activities and ensuring projects meet grid compliance requirements.
  • Supporting project delivery through design reviews, contractor management, and technical due diligence.
  • Working closely with project managers and wider delivery teams to ensure successful project completion.

About You

  • Degree-qualified Electrical Engineering background.
  • Around 3+ years' experience within renewable energy, power, or electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting grid connections for renewable generation, BESS, or other power projects.
  • Knowledge of UK electricity networks, DNOs, and grid connection processes.
  • Experience reviewing electrical designs and liaising with ICPs, consultants, or network operators.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering software such as AutoCAD, Trimble, or DIGSILENT.
  • Good understanding of commissioning, testing, and CDM regulations.
