Electrical Engineer Glasgow | Leading Global Engineering Consultancy

Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to work on some of the UK's most innovative and sustainable building projects?

A world-renowned engineering consultancy is seeking talented Electrical Engineers to join its growing team in Scotland.

With opportunities in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, you'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, science & technology, mixed-use and large-scale infrastructure developments.

The Role

You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through to construction and completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing electrical building services systems for a variety of projects
  • Producing calculations, specifications and technical reports
  • Working closely with architects, mechanical engineers and sustainability specialists
  • Developing designs using BIM and industry-standard software
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
  • Supporting project delivery to quality, programme and budget requirements
  • Mentoring junior engineers where appropriate

About You

We're keen to speak with engineers who have:

  • Experience in Electrical Building Services design
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and design standards
  • Experience using industry software such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux or similar
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ambition to achieve, or continue progressing towards, professional chartership
