Senior Electrical Engineer | London (Site based)

Location: London
Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Employment Type: Permanent

An established international engineering contractor is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing project teams in London. The role will be based across multiple sites, supporting the delivery of complex, high-value engineering and construction projects.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, wider project team, client representatives, and supply chain, taking responsibility for engineering activities from project inception through to successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interface with client representatives, project teams, and the supply chain on site.
  • Review and manage project engineering activities from inception through to handover.
  • Ensure technical issues are identified and resolved without delay.
  • Manage procurement processes, from equipment enquiries and requisitions through manufacture and delivery to site, maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Attend and record regular supply chain meetings to monitor progress against the construction programme.
  • Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and documentation relating to Health & Safety on site.
  • Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct installation and operation of plant and equipment.
  • Monitor and record site progress against the construction programme.
  • Ensure Health & Safety, environmental, and quality procedures are followed and appropriate records maintained.
  • Develop and maintain the project-specific quality plan.
  • Hold regular meetings with the supply chain to maintain progress and ensure resources align with programme requirements.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to review progress and allocation of resources.
  • Support the preparation of project close-out reports and successful handover.
  • Ensure site-based personnel have the correct training and valid certification required for the project.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in delivering complex construction or engineering projects. You should be comfortable working with clients, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams while maintaining high standards across safety, quality, programme, and technical delivery.
