We are looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our growing engineering team, working across a range of electrical installation, controls, instrumentation, commissioning and maintenance projects.
The role will suit an electrician who is confident working independently, enjoys solving technical problems and can deliver high-quality work while maintaining excellent standards of health & safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installation and maintenance in accordance with BS 7671.
- Installation, commissioning and fault-finding of LV control systems.
- Installation and commissioning of instrumentation including pressure, level, temperature and flow.
- Electrical inspection, testing and verification.
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Working with Project Managers, clients, contractors and other trades.
- Providing technical support and mentoring junior engineers/apprentices.
- Producing accurate reports and project documentation.
- Participating in a 24/7 call-out rota for reactive breakdowns.

You will ideally have:

- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent inspection and testing qualification.
- ECS Gold Card.
- Experience in electrical controls, instrumentation and commissioning.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
