We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Oldham. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support of electrical control systems across a variety of industrial applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong electrical knowledge and hands-on experience in PLC programming, commissioning, and installation. The company is committed to investing in its people through ongoing training and development, providing opportunities to enhance your technical skills while working on a diverse range of projects.

Role Description
- PLC programming, modification, and fault-finding on a range of control systems
- Electrical installation and commissioning of industrial machinery and automated equipment
- Testing and validation of electrical control panels and systems
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults both on-site and remotely
- Supporting project delivery from design through to commissioning
- Producing and updating technical documentation where required
- Working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful project completion
- Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
- Occasional travel to customer sites for commissioning and support activities
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, or Automation Engineer
- Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar)
- Proven commissioning and electrical installation experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Electrical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
- Experience with industrial control panels and automation systems
- Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Full UK Driving Licence desirable
