Electrical Engineer
EQUANS are looking for an Electrical Engineer for our PEEL Group contract – this role will be split between Trafford Palazzo & Quayside Lowry in Manchester. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
We have an opportunity available for an Electrician on the Ped L&P owned and managed Trafford Palazzo & Quayside Retail Malls. The role Will involve carrying out planned maintenance activities and reactive works across the two sites and covering holidays across the two sites as required. You will be working alongside our existing on site teams consisting of Electricians/Mechanical & Fabric Disciplines also based on site. Excellent customer service skills and team working skills are required for this site.
Duties
- Complete all statutory and non-statutory PPM in accordance with annual PPM planners and task instruction sets and customers SLA's & KA's.
- Experience of using CAFM systems to complete reactive and PPM tasks in line with our SLA's & KPI's.
- Ensure all site logbooks are kept up to date with the relevant information and certification.
- To identify maintenance needs and produce technical reports on equipment.
- To respond & repair any reactive calls raised through the dedicated EQUANS Service desk and provide relevant task information to the Administration team to ensure all jobs are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer and within the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- To read, understand and work to generic site PPM risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), completing any additional RAMS for any large works not covered or a point of work general risk assessments for smaller tasks.
- Coordinate all works to a high standard and to EQUANS quality procedures.
- Supervise/escort subcontractors whilst on site ensuring they follow site security procedures, ensuring work to their RAMs and within EQUANS safe working procedures.
- Following a reasonable request, be available to work overtime to accommodate site requirements.
- The timely completion of all company forms and statutory documentation, including record keeping and technical reporting.
- To comply with the requirements of the Company's Policies and Procedures.
- Assist other members of the team where multi-person tasks are required.
- Wear company uniform at all times and be of a smart and presentable appearance.

Complexity
The customer PEEL Land & Property is an ISO 50001 accredited company. Working in partnership with Peel L&P the onsite team is committed to reducing estates C02 emissions in conjunction with our Energy Manager without compromising on the operation of the day-to-day activities. Understanding and aligning giant operation and maintenance activities to achieve them.
Qualifications or Required Experience
- NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation.
- Qualified to 3S7671 18th Edition Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Test.
- Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing) BS2377 (not essential).
- Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential).
- PAF powered Access Licence (preferable but not essential).
- PASMA (preferable but not essential).
- First aid trained (preferable but not essential).
- Be computer literate, including operation of Handheld PDA.
- Maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
- Fault finding and diagnosis of HVAC equipment.
- Operation and interrogation of BMS.
- Understanding of fire protection systems.
- Understanding of Plumbing systems.
- Excellent customer service skills.
