Electrical Engineer (Graduate, Senior and Principal)
£30,000 - £90,000 per annum + benefits
Bristol
Hybrid (3 days per week on site)
We're hiring across our Electrical Engineering team, Graduate through to Principal, on behalf of a fast-growing UAV technology company.
Our client designs, builds and flies tactical UAVs for defence and security applications. The electrical team owns everything from power distribution and harnessing through to board level electronics and payload integration, and designs go from bench to flying hardware in months, not years.
Graduate Electrical Engineer
A genuine start in the discipline, not a rotation programme. You'll get real design ownership early, contributing to power generation and distribution, navigation and sensor interfaces, and the boards behind them, with senior engineers backing you up.
Ideal for a 2:1+ graduate (or final year student) in electrical, electronic, mechatronic or systems engineering with some hands-on lab experience and a project or two to show for it.

Senior Electrical Engineer
Full electrical design ownership for avionics and payload installations on tactical uncrewed aircraft: schematic capture, board layout in Altium, harness and connector design, and payload/sensor interface control.
You'll want 4+ years in aerospace, defence or another environmentally demanding sector, with proven harness and power distribution design that's actually been released to manufacture and flown.
Principal Electrical Engineer
The electrical technical authority for the programme. You'll own the architecture, set the schematic and layout standards, run qualification campaigns end to end, and mentor engineers through the stream.
Around 8+ years in airborne, defence or comparable electrical design, with real confidence in defence and aerospace standards and the judgement to argue where tailoring is justified.

Across all three roles:
- Bristol hybrid, minimum 3 days/week on-site
- £30,000 - £90,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- 10% bonus
- Pension matched up to 10%

- Occasional international travel to company sites
- Eligibility for UK SC clearance is essential given the nature of the work
