About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a growing MEP and data centre engineering consultancy, delivering electrical design across data centre and technology building projects throughout Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Engineer to join their London office, leading the design, development and supervision of Data Centre projects from concept through to completion.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading the development of electrical design across all project phases: preliminary studies, conceptual design, basic design and detailed design.
- Design and development of electrical systems for Data Centres, in compliance with international regulations and quality standards.
- Overseeing electrical drawings produced in AutoCAD and reviewing output from junior team members.
- Preparing and supervising technical documentation including reports, measurements, drawings and specifications.
- Identifying project risks and proposing corrective and preventive measures.
- Visualising and interpreting models in Revit, with coordination and clash detection in Navisworks.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team.
- Acting as a senior point of contact for clients on technical matters.

What We Are Looking For

- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong experience in electrical design, with significant involvement in Data Centre projects.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of national and international electrical regulations.
What Is On Offer
- Salary up to £90,000.
