About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing MEP and data centre engineering consultancy, delivering electrical design across data centre and technology building projects throughout Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Engineer to join their London office, leading the design, development and supervision of Data Centre projects from concept through to completion.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Leading the development of electrical design across all project phases: preliminary studies, conceptual design, basic design and detailed design.
  • Design and development of electrical systems for Data Centres, in compliance with international regulations and quality standards.
  • Overseeing electrical drawings produced in AutoCAD and reviewing output from junior team members.
  • Preparing and supervising technical documentation including reports, measurements, drawings and specifications.
  • Identifying project risks and proposing corrective and preventive measures.
  • Visualising and interpreting models in Revit, with coordination and clash detection in Navisworks.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team.
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients on technical matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
