Silcock Leedham, an RSK Group company, are recruiting for a Electrical Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent role. Silcock Leedham is a busy Leeds based office that has around 30 engineers.

The Engineer will be responsible for the full design of Electrical services including preparation of drawings, calculations, specifications, and all relevant supporting documentation for projects to ensure the Client’s requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Engage effectively with Clients and fellow professionals to foster strong relationships and promote repeat business.
  • Reviewing documents issued with design brief and compiling list of queries or requests for information
  • Attending site to conduct survey work
  • Conducting full design of agreed services inclusive of calculations, layout drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Preparation of drawings and technical details as required to support Planning applications (Building Warrant in Scotland)
  • Taking part in design reviews in line with design SHEQ documents
  • Attending Client & Design Team meetings, preparing notes and progress reports
  • Participation in the hand over meetings including defects and incomplete works inspections and witnessing commissioning
  • Keeping abreast of all new developments in sustainability systems and new training schemes available
  • On BIM enabled Projects, information roles and duties as defined in ISO 19650 and / or the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
  • Contributing to the RSK SHEQ KPIs including raising NMPIs and participating in Project Reviews

  • Relevant formal qualifications (HNC / HND / Degree) are required covering all aspects of Mechanical or Electrical Building Services with experience in the design and calculation of:
    • Electrical – Small Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting (internal and external), Fire Alarm, Security, Data and Utilities
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, AutoCAD, and design package software including:
    • Electrical - Dialux or Relux, Amtech & Revit MEP
  • Working knowledge of Revit MEP
  • Working knowledge of IES
