Experienced Electrical Engineer - Energy Transition
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Transition team. Acting as the subject matter expert for HV IAC Testing & Termination (T&T), you will support project delivery, tendering, and engineering scopes across a range of offshore and onshore environments.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to renewable energy and power transmission projects while working with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver project documentation, reports, and technical submissions
- Support tendering activities including method statements, equipment lists, and pricing schedules
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate and oversee daily site operations and project performance
- Ensure all operational requirements are delivered in line with contract, procedures, and deadlines
- Provide technical support during client engagements and business development meetings
- Monitor and guide team members, promoting high performance and collaboration
- Plan project activities, track progress, and manage changes effectively
- Ensure compliance with Quality and HSE Management Systems
- Produce key project documentation including risk assessments, quality plans, and management reports
- Travel offshore and internationally as required

Requirements
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering
- HNC / BTEC Level 4 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering
- (Or ability to obtain):
- RUK Wind Turbine Medical Certificate
- GWO Basic Safety Training
Technical Certifications (Desirable)
- Electrical Installation
- HV Cable Jointing
- HV Cable Testing (VLF, Partial Discharge, Tan Delta, Damped AC)
- Fibre Optic Termination & Testing
- COMPEX Certification
- Transformer & Switchgear Installation/Maintenance
Experience Required
Essential
- Proven experience in HV cable testing & termination within power transmission, renewables, or oil & gas
- Strong technical knowledge of HV testing and/or fibre optic T&T operations
Preferred
- Experience delivering HV T&T projects onsite, preferably offshore
- Exposure to project environments including budgets, P&L, and reporting
- Background in offshore electrical installation or maintenance

- Leadership and team supervision capability
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Confident, professional, and solutions-focused
