The Role: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Florence, SC (On-site)
Type: Contract
What You'll Do:
This position is for an Electrical Project Engineer who supports system engineering activities for New and Existing Product Elevator programs. The role works with cross-functional teams to assist in the development, integration, and validation of elevator systems to ensure customer, functional, code, and safety requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Support requirements management, system integration activities, program schedule tracking, and preparation of systems documentation required for product development programs.
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations, feasibility studies, test planning, cost assessments, and code requirement reviews for impacted subsystems.
- Support the collection, documentation, and traceability of elevator system requirements from stakeholders and assist in translating them into subsystem requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to support system integration activities and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in product development and sustaining engineering activities under the guidance of senior engineers.

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to support the development and calculation of Performance Envelopes (Duty Tables).
- Basic electrical knowledge of high-power transformer applications, including step-up, isolation, and step-down transformers.
- Familiarity with local and national code requirements and compliance documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with engineering change implementation processes.
- Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation to support compliance with internal and external requirements, including test reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Experience participating in requirements management activities with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- BS Degree in EE
- 2+ years engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methods and engineering problem-solving tools such as DFMEA and Six Sigma is preferred.
- Previous elevator industry experience is preferred.
