Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Maintenance

Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift rotation
Location: Derbyshire - easy access

Reward: £50k - £53,500 target per year + OTE £55K+ comfortable
Hours: 38-hour week

Industry: Global Manufacturer - general manufacturing environment with process, conversion, and packaging

About the Role

Work-life balance is the attraction for this role, with weekend overtime on offer.

Our client is a large Global manufacturer with a global footprint. It is an established site with an established large, high-performing engineering team. Staff retention is excellent. Training, development, and support are provided on a manufacturing site. You will help the site make high-quality processed products. There is a variety of technical challenges ready for you to work on.

  • Providing effective and efficient planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
  • Leading electrical and instrumentation, repair, and working with a CMMS.
  • Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of electrical engineering faults.
  • Design, trial, and implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
  • Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as allocated.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an electrical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience, ideally process and packaging experience but open to industry.
  • PLC experience preferred.
  • A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
