Job Specification – Electrical Service Engineer

Salary
Up to £45,000 basic + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Pension
The Opportunity
First Achieve Engineering is partnering with a leading engineering business to recruit an Electrical Service Engineer for its expanding Service & Repair team.
This role combines field-based and workshop work, supporting customers across the Central Belt of Scotland. You'll be working on a broad range of HVAC, commercial and industrial equipment, carrying out reactive breakdowns, servicing, repairs and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair and commission:
- Submersible pumps
- Booster sets
- Pump stations
- Variable Speed Drives (Inverters)
- Electric motors and associated control systems
- Diagnose and repair faults on motor circuits, control panels and inverter drives.
- Carry out electrical fault finding on pumps and associated equipment.
- Strip, inspect and assess motors, pumps and fans alongside the mechanical team when required.
- Commission new equipment and ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Complete risk assessments and work safely in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Produce detailed service reports and maintain excellent customer relationships.

What We're Looking For
- Electrical qualification (NVQ/SVQ, HNC/HND, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- 18th Edition qualification desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Field Service role.
- Strong experience fault finding on:
- Electric motors
- Motor control circuits
- Variable Speed Drives (VSDs/Inverters)
- Control panels
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, wastewater, HVAC or building services environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent fault-finding and communication skills.
