About the Role
We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our Engineering Department as an On Call Electrical Engineer at our West Yorkshire site in Knottingley, reporting to the Engineering Manager and working within a small team. The role is responsible for the provision of an ‘on-call’ service to rectify and eliminate equipment faults and failures and minimise machine downtime, via a committed rota (one week in four), covering 365 days per year. This on-call provision will commence after familiarisation of the site and machinery.

Qualifications
- Fully apprentice trained, or equivalent.
- Good level of Maths and English.
Required Skills
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, both written and oral.
- Good organisational skills with a logical and methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a hostile working environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Previous knowledge of working within a glass manufacture plant and/or 24-hour process environment would be an advantage, however, not essential.
