Role Description
This full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role is based in Barry and focuses on supporting electrical systems within a high-performance manufacturing and materials environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Designing, analyzing, and maintaining electrical power distribution and control systems to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support new installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Preparing technical documentation, participating in risk assessments, and contributing to project planning and execution.
- Engaging with operations, maintenance, and engineering colleagues to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable electrical solutions.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electricity and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design for industrial facilities, including schematics, layouts, and selection of appropriate electrical components.
- Knowledge of Power Distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and low- and medium-voltage networks.
- Experience with Power Systems analysis, protection coordination, and reliability improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety practices (e.g., IEC, BS standards, or equivalent).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, use engineering software tools, and produce clear documentation and reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in chemical, materials, or industrial manufacturing environments is beneficial.
