Electrical Operations Engineer
ICL Teesdock, Teesport

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a leadership role where you can make a real impact?
ICL is seeking an Electrical Operations Engineer to take ownership of electrical engineering activities at our Tees Dock operation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team, influence engineering strategy, and play a vital role in supporting the supply chain of the world's only Polyhalite mine.
Working in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, you will drive safety, reliability, innovation and continuous improvement across critical plant and equipment. What you will be doing
As Electrical Operations Engineer, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of electrical technicians, providing coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring the highest engineering and operational standards are consistently maintained.
- Drive asset reliability and performance by developing and maintaining effective maintenance strategies.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies and engineering solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Deliver improvement projects that optimise operations and reduce risk associated with electrical systems and equipment.
- Manage capital investment proposals and support project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Act as a technical leader within the business, setting professional standards and encouraging a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or be actively working towards chartership.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, control systems, and automation equipment, particularly within conveyor-based operations.
- An understanding of the operation and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems.
- Extensive experience in engineering maintenance and asset reliability improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for developing people and improving performance.
