Company Description
ngin is a specialist search and recruitment partner serving the Power, Energy, Data Center, and Infrastructure sectors. The company focuses on engineering, technical, commercial, and leadership roles to help organizations deliver complex projects and support sustainable growth. The team is dedicated to supporting the people behind critical infrastructure.

Role Description
ngin is working exclusively with a growing engineering contractor to appoint an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of a major 70MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Burnley, including a 132kV grid connection.
The business is expanding significantly across the UK and Europe, delivering major projects across power, energy, renewables, and mission-critical infrastructure.
With the Burnley project moving further into electrical delivery, they’re now looking to strengthen the team with an Electrical Engineer who can bring strong design capability across HV/LV systems, electrical distribution, protection, and control.
You don't necessarily need to have delivered a BESS project before.
If you've built your experience within power generation, substations, T&D, utilities, industrial electrical engineering, or another HV/MV environment, and want to move further into BESS and renewable energy infrastructure, we'd still like to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
