Role - Electrical Engineer (Power Systems) - Inside IR35

Location: Midlands

The client is looking for an Electrical Integration Engineer with experience in Power Systems, working with equipment such as Motors, Drives, Switchboards, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical systems design for motors, generators, electrical drives, and switchboards for marine and power generation applications.
  • Be involved at all stages of the system design process, from concept to delivery of equipment and systems.
  • Work with project managers, technical leads, and power systems and power electronics teams to deliver projects to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate electrical systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Define the overall electrical and control architecture.
  • Define Functional Design Specification (FDS) for the entire electrical system.
  • Define requirements for all electrical components.
  • Develop and manage the Interface Control Document (ICD).
  • Document electrical and logical connections between the controller, power electronics, and mechanical sub-systems.
  • Provide the technical system overview to the CAD/Mechanical team for system layout and connection diagrams.
  • Configure and commission the controller software.
  • Develop Test & Validation Plan.
  • Analyze performance data and verify system behavior.
