Electrical Engineer

Glasgow office (hybrid model with 3 days at home, 2 days in office)
Leading IPP working across solar & BESS assets working across the UK and Nordics
£55,000-£65,000 + benefits

We've partnered exclusively with a leading IPP working across solar and BESS in the UK and Nordics. You'll be joining their growing delivery team, for the delivery of a varied portfolio across the country.

The company has a unique and healthy structure, working across the full project lifecycle. The invest, develop, build, own and operate varied assets of solar, BESS some onshore wind and are beginning to asset data centres. Over the last 15 years, they've been extremely successful developing over 9GW of assets across 3 countries and managing over £900million worth of assets.

Their structure has led to a successful decade, with multi revenue streams and a plan to expand the team significantly throughout the year. The group is also acquiring projects, broadening their offering in the space.

The role:

Due to their success and growth, the team is looking to grow their technical offering in their delivery team. You'd be working alongside a team lead to develop your career in this space and to offer progression and exposure to projects.

Your main role will be:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of high voltage projects from both a technical and commercial standpoint.
  • Working closely with DNOs, ICPs and TSOs interfaces.
  • Managing grid milestones and applications.
  • Supporting across technical compliance for the team.
  • Supporting on commercial works in projects, including EPC tenders and stakeholder management.
  • Supporting across the full project lifecycle, from early connection agreements through to commissioning stages.

Requirements:

We're looking for candidates with an electrical engineering background, experience with renewable energy projects and liaising with operating bodies and knowledge of the commercial side of projects.
