Vacancy Detail

Electrical Engineer

Managing the delivery of new and replacement electrical services including electrical High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) infrastructure and installations. This will include the design and/or design management, briefing consultants, assisting with procurement, project management, monitoring of progress, commissioning, and handover.

  • Handover will include ensuring all documentation and records are kept up to date.
  • Installations will include heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, water and gas systems, air conditioning, lifts, and fume cupboards.

Undertake surveys, reviews, or monitor either individually or in conjunction with other Estates & Facilities staff by linking into the Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the Building Management System (BMS).

Having an overview of the building's mechanical and electrical equipment such as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems via the University’s BMS. Ensure all building and health & safety regulations are complied with.
