How you’ll power our business as an Electrical Engineering Support Manager
As an Electrical Engineering Support Manager, you will be responsible for the management of Operational based electrical work. You will report into the EC&I Manager and will provide additional technical support on the electrical side of the business to ensure compliance and management of contractors.
You will lead and support an electrical team and be a strong experienced proven leader.
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here's What You'll Be Doing
- Organising annual inspections on Flogas depots.
- Organising Remedial works at Flogas depots.
- Organising breakdown cover at Flogas depots.
- Liaising with and issuing work to external contractors.
- Provide technical assistance to Flogas Depots (Electrically).
- Auditing external contractors and developing relationships with them regionally to provide a countrywide service to the operational side of the business.
What We’ll Need From You
- NICEIC QS
- Time served approved electrician. (apprentice trained)
- Electrical equipment in hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres (COMPEX) MODULES EX01,EX02,EX03,EX04
- Inspection and testing city & guilds 2391- 17th edition, or
- Inspection and testing city & guilds 2394 and 2395 – 18th edition
- Experience in Asset management systems
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems and control systems
- Deep knowledge of hazardous area classifications and zoning, especially with gas group 11A
- Organising and maintaining site electrical files using ExTrace
- Knowledge of HV systems
- Familiarity with functional safety
- Good understanding of static discharge hazards and potential ignition sources of LPG along with gas dispersion behaviour in open and enclosed LPG areas.
- Advanced Knowledge of BS EN 60079
- Advanced Knowledge of BS 7671
