Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator / M&E Estimator | Building Services | Healthcare & Commercial Projects
Location: North West Birmingham / West Midlands (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Electrical Estimator – Building Services, Healthcare, NHS & Commercial Projects
We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator, Senior Electrical Estimator or M&E Estimator to join a leading Building Services Contractor delivering Healthcare, NHS, Hospital, Commercial, Industrial, and Education projects across the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with experience in Electrical Building Services, M&E, MEP, and Electrical Installation projects to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work. You will play a key role within the Pre-Construction team, preparing competitive tenders and cost plans for projects valued up to £5 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate Electrical Estimates, cost plans, and tender submissions for Building Services and M&E projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
- Complete detailed electrical take-offs and quantity measurements.
- Obtain, analyse, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare competitive pricing for Electrical Building Services and M&E projects.
- Raise RFIs and liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and supply chain partners.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Support bid submissions, pre-construction activities, and project handovers.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing databases.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams throughout the tender process.

Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator, Senior Electrical Estimator, M&E Estimator, MEP Estimator, or Building Services Estimator.
- Proven experience estimating and tendering Electrical Building Services, M&E, or MEP projects.
- Experience within Healthcare, NHS, Hospital, Commercial, Industrial, or Education sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, building services systems, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in preparing competitive tenders and cost plans.
