About The Role
Founded in 2016, providing electrical contractor services for both domestic and commercial applications, Jaberu Recruitment’s client is a leading electrical and renewables contractor. Projects range from small domestic works to large scale electrical installations for both public and private sector clients, UK-Wide.
They are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in electrical estimating who enjoys working on a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting successful project delivery from tender stage through to contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical installation projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Complete material take-offs and labour calculations.
- Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Prepare detailed tender submissions within deadlines.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.
- Maintain estimating records and contribute to continuous process improvements.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the electrical contracting industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable
- Electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or public sector projects.
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations and construction contracts.
- Full UK driving licence.
