The company provides Construction Services, Technical Services, Building Services, Sprinklers and Prefabrication.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Estimator role based in Bannockburn. The Electrical Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to ensure accurate pricing.

  • Analyzing labor, material, and subcontractor costs
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities
  • Maintaining cost control throughout the bidding process
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and the contracting team to clarify technical requirements and support bid submissions
  • Updating and maintaining estimating databases
  • Supporting pre-construction planning
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating practices within FES Group

Qualifications

  • Skills in Electrical Estimating and Cost Control for construction and building services projects
  • Skills related to Electrical Contracting, including understanding of installation methods and industry standards
  • Knowledge of Electricity principles and practical applications in commercial and industrial environments
  • Skills in Electrical Engineering, including reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Relevant experience in estimating within the electrical or building services sector, ideally with contracting or technical services companies
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail capabilities, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office tools
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and meet tender deadlines
  • Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
