We are currently seeking a Electrical Expert Technical Sales to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!
Role Overview
As an Electrical Expert Technical Sales, the primary objective of this role is to provide technical support, mainly related to electrical design and associated topics, within the Technical Sales and Application Engineering teams, as well as directly to the sales organization.
In this position, you will engage directly with customers and consulting engineers to discuss the electrical design aspects of products within the Thermal Management portfolio. You will be responsible for influencing and guiding customers toward optimal electrical design solutions, while also supporting the Technical Sales and Application Engineering teams, as well as Solution Architect team in Croatia, in their discussions with customers and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical technical support to Technical Sales /Application Engineer / Solution Architect, for their discussions with Customers and Consultants.
- Provide complex presales technical support by reviewing the RFx and identifying customer requirements/specifications, with main focus on electrical part.
- Discuss and drive Customers and Consultant on the best electrical design.
- Coordinate with factory engineering departments for specific technical requests (mainly electrical).
- Evaluate special requests that don’t fit standard solutions and propose complex customizable options (Configure to Order).
- Manage the relationship between the various stakeholder groups in Vertiv (Sales teams, Engineering Teams and others).
- Create and perform product and application presentations for customers and consultants.
- Provide internal trainings for colleagues in Vertiv and external trainings for customers and consultants.
- Anticipate market trends being an Industry expert within the line of business assigned.
- Ensure that any activity, task, and responsibility required is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance.
- Responsible for managing the voice of the customers, attending customer meetings together with Sales.
- Provide feedback to the line of business in Vertiv on how to improve the offering.
- Attend, facilitates and leads events for Vertiv with external customers.
- Expert on multiple products and lines of business in Vertiv.

Requirements
- Master degree in electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution system.
- Ability to understand and perform preliminary assessments of electrical load calculations, equipment sizing, short-circuit levels, and protection coordination concepts.
- Interpret and discuss single-line diagrams.
- Understanding of data center electrical architectures, redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N), reliability requirements, and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical standards and codes (IEC, EN, NEC or equivalent, IEEE).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the design of complex electrical systems, preferably within the data center industry or comparable mission-critical environments.
- Engineering curiosity. Passion to learn every single day and stay ahead of the curve. You are results oriented.
- Ability to work effectively in the matrix organization.
- Communications and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and your local language, and ideally speak a 2nd European Language.
- Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation. CAD proficiency is an advantage.

Salary
The anticipated salary range for this role in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy is between 52.000€ to 60.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.
