TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our External clients workshop team in Blackburn, Aberdeen.
Role Overview
The role involves electrical and mechanical assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels and associated equipment for safe area and hazardous area applications. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake offshore and client site work.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical and electronic assembly work
- Fitting components to backplates and assembling control panels
- Wiring panels to circuit diagrams and engineering drawings
- Assisting with functional checks and electrical testing
- Fault finding and problem-solving in the workshop and on site
- Completing relevant quality and testing documentation
- Working in accordance with company health and safety procedures

Requirements
- Previous experience in control panel wiring, electrical assembly, or industrial electrical installation
- A recognised electrical qualification or apprenticeship
- Current CompEx certificate
- Valid offshore survival and medical certification
- Ability to read circuit diagrams and engineering drawings
- Experience testing electrical assemblies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel and work offshore when required
- Experience with ATEX or IECEx equipment and hazardous area control systems would be advantageous.

Contract Details
- Type: Permanent
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
