About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Fitter to join our Production Team at Moor Road, Leeds.

This role exists to manufacture, installation and wiring of electrical control panels and components, working from electrical schematic drawings to build reliable, high quality equipment for our incineration and cremation systems. This opportunity would suit an individual looking to join a stable, international engineering business with long-term growth plans.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manufacture brackets, and fit and/or secure as necessary.
  • Install trunking to equipment as necessary.
  • Mount control panels and components.
  • Wire and gland components, using YY, SY and screened multicore cable types.
  • Carry out all duties accurately and effectively, on time, on target cost, and in line with our safety standards.
  • Understand the scope and requirements of the machine design from wiring diagrams.
  • Understand electrical schematics and bills of material.
  • Support production problem solving.
  • Carry out snagging and inspection of the final product.
  • Undertake any other duties conducive to the role and business which are considered to be within your capability.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Electrical panel wiring or machine wiring experience
  • The ability to follow schematic drawings to layout and wire control cabinets
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team

Desirable

  • Any electrical and/or mechanical experience and qualifications
  • Electrical NVQ 3 & VRQ / City & Guilds Qualifications / Apprenticeship in Engineering, or equivalent
  • 18th Edition qualification

Working Pattern & Travel

Full time, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum.
