Role Overview
The apprentice will undertake tasks in support of the qualified electrician. Combining residential and commercial clients to ensure safe electrical supplies at all times.
Tasks Include:
- Full Rewires
- New Lofts and extensions
- Maintenance callout and repairs
- LED lighting
- Data cable, cat5, and BT point installations
- Alarm-system installation
- Kitchen installations
- New fuse boards
- Boiler controls
- Smoke detectors
- Aerial installations
- ECIR testing
- HMO requirements
- EV charging unit installations
- Bathroom Extractor fans
- Security lights
- Nest installer and Ring products installer

Apprenticeship Details
Working Experience
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Specialist Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
College Attendance
Apprentices will be required to attend college at least once per week at Uxbridge Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.
Requirements
The apprentice will be required to complete:
- Work towards gaining a full Qualification Level 3 Mechatronics
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities.
- Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours.
- Standard and End Point Assessment.
- Functional Skills in English, maths, and ICT (if required).
