HV Electrical Installer
Location: UK-Wide (Site-Based Travel)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary
Join a leading high-voltage infrastructure and power engineering specialist delivering substation, power distribution, and renewable energy projects across the UK. This role is ideal for an experienced HV Electrical Installer, Electrical Fitter, or Substation Technician seeking long-term project work and nationwide site exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble HV switchgear, power transformers, RMUs, busbars, and protection/control panels.
- Fit cable containment systems, cable trays, support structures, and assist with cable positioning and glanding.
- Read and interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and site layout drawings.
- Work in compliance with HV Safety Rules, RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), and applicable UK regulations.
- Support pre-commissioning activities, testing teams, and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and documentation on site.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HV Electrical Installer, Electrical Fitter, or Substation Technician within utilities, power distribution, or renewable energy sectors.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrotechnical Technology, or a completed electrical apprenticeship.
- Valid ECS or CSCS Card.
- Strong knowledge of HV Safety Rules and site safety procedures.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition).
- Previous Competent Person (CP) or Authorised Person (AP) status.
- Experience working on substation and renewable energy connection projects.
