About the Role
As an Electrical Instructor, you’ll:
- Deliver and develop high-quality electrical engineering training for military trainees.
- Use your technical expertise to enhance operational readiness and support national security.
- Contribute to Babcock’s Land Training under the Electro Mechanical Training Contract (EMTC).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver electrical training sessions using modern teaching methods and technologies.
- Monitor trainee development, providing feedback, support, and remedial instruction.
- Assess progress through written and practical evaluations.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and equipment accountability in the training environment.
- Maintain and update course materials to reflect current equipment and standards.

Location: Based onsite at MOD Lyneham, Mon–Fri (37 hours/week).---
Essential Requirements
Experience:
✔ Supervisory experience in technical or engineering settings. ✔ Experience with electromechanical equipment. ✔ Proven experience in a relevant working environment. ✔ Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems (single- and three-phase). ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Qualifications:
✔ HND in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., general electronics and electrical systems).
Security Clearance:
✔ Security Check (SC) required and must be achievable/maintainable.
