What You Will Enjoy Doing

In this role, you will work closely with the Branch Manager and fellow Maintenance Technician to complete all assigned work orders efficiently and on time. Additionally you will ensure all electrical and instrumentation equipment operates safely and efficiently by inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing any faults or defects.

  • Carry out routine maintenance and testing of instrumentation equipment such as pressure and temperature gauges, flow meters, level indicators, and control valves to confirm they are functioning within acceptable parameters.
  • Perform electrical installations, testing, and inspections with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational continuity.
  • Further, you will complete routine maintenance and testing of instrumentation equipment including pressure and temperature transmitters, and maintain electrical motors, lighting/fire systems, and other critical electrical plant equipment.
  • Undertake basic electrical tasks such as inspection, fault finding, and installation of electrical components and plant instrumentation.

What Makes You Great

  • City and Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, or ONC qualification in Electrical and preferably instrument discipline is essential for this role.
  • Electrical installations EAL (18th Edition) BS7671:2018(2022)603/3298/0.
  • You are qualified in Hazardous Area Installations (COMPEX) desirable but not essential.
  • At least two years’ maintenance experience on a chemically related process plant.
  • Further, you are proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Work with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace.
