Seapeak is one of the world’s largest independent LNG owner-operators, with a fleet that includes LPG vessels and a terminal in Bahrain. Role Description
The Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Glasgow. This position oversees the design, maintenance, and optimization of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems across Seapeak’s assets, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical evaluations
  • Coordinating troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Guiding the implementation of upgrades and modifications to systems and equipment

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in electrical engineering for industrial or marine environments, including power distribution, protection systems, and equipment reliability.
  • Proficiency with instrumentation systems, sensors, control loops, and related monitoring technologies used in LNG or process industries.
  • Solid knowledge of automation and control systems (PLC, DCS, SCADA), including configuration, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in managing technical projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and working with external partners or suppliers.
  • Familiarity with applicable safety, regulatory, and classification standards for marine and energy-sector operations.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues, interpret data and drawings, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or a closely related field; chartered or professional engineering status is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in LNG, LPG, maritime, or heavy industrial settings; prior shipboard or terminal experience is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to vessels, terminals, or project sites as required.
