South Hampshire College Group is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Electrical Lecturer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical professional or qualified lecturer to share their expertise, inspire learners, and help shape the future workforce.
Whether you are already teaching or looking to transition from industry into education, we welcome applications from individuals with strong electrical industry experience and a commitment to developing others.
About the Role
As an Electrical Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of electrical installation programmes. You will support learners to achieve their qualifications, develop practical skills, and progress into employment or further study.
Working as part of a collaborative curriculum team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing learner progress, providing pastoral support, and contributing to the continual improvement of the curriculum.
You may also have the opportunity to act as a Course Leader, supporting course quality, learner achievement, and compliance with awarding body requirements.

Duties
- Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in Electrical Installation.
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons, practical workshops, and assessments.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Act as a Personal Tutor, supporting learners' academic and pastoral development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement, and progression.
- Support curriculum development and quality improvement activities.
- Build and maintain strong links with employers and industry partners.
- Participate in open events, recruitment activities, and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to the development of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Continue to develop your professional and industry knowledge in line with current electrical standards and practices.
Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant industry experience within Electrical Installation.
- Holds an Electrical Gold Card
- A recognised Level 3 qualification (or higher) in an electrical discipline.
- A passion for teaching, training, and supporting learners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire learners from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Experience of working within education or training environments (desirable).
- A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (desirable).
